Observing Meet April 8th 2016

Last chance for a meeting this coming weekend. 8/9th April 2016. After that it will be Autumn before it gets dark enough again.

So hoping for clear skies at least once this 2015/16 winter.

Details are:

 

For those that have not been to the Blaenavon site before, it is located next to the radio masts north east of town, at the paved " Fox Hunter " car park. The coordinates are.......

On Google Maps:  51.790573  ,  -3.069705

 

The proposed meet dates for the are:  Friday April 8th, 2016  or  Saturday April 9th  as an alternate pursuant to the weather; please mark your Calendar.

 

Check this thread for updates, and on the day at about 5pm, in the afternoon to see if the observing session is a "GO" or a "NO - GO" based on the latest weather forecasts.

Having taken a look at the weekend weather, it looks like another cold front with rain is heading our way and arriving tomorrow afternoon.

So going to make a early call for the whole weekend and unfortunately it is yet another "NO GO".

Sorry folks but reckon that makes it the most unsuccessful winter we have had since starting SWG.
