Parallelogram mount

Recommended Posts

Hello all, i am a newbie and have a pair of Helios Quantum 4 25x100, i am not enjoying using them as much as i should though due to having to use a tripod, i am trying to get hold of a parallelogram mount but i am completely at an end with this.

Is there anybody that has made one themselves and could share their dimensions and measurements please.

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply but i have contacted them and they dont have any in stock, and according to a stockist in Germany apparrently the Orion Monster (which is the one i need) is no longer available.

I just dont understand why such a usefull instrument for binocular gazing is not available in abundance.

Thanks for your reply.

If you are into DIY, then constructing your own out of decent hard wood with coach screws/bolts and washers, suitable knobs or wing nuts, should not be a problem, however, sourcing a solid tripod might, Ebay, with used builders and surveyors site equipment, is always a useful bet, especially the old wooden types on which the expensive Berleback one are based :)
