jambouk
Someone told me there is a "Astronomy Week" coming up soon. Google isn't helping me. Is there some national week dedicated to astronomy planned? James
Putaendo Patrick
James - you may be thinking of something different, but: National Astronomy Day in the USA this year will be Saturday 14 May, and the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada are celebrating International Astronomy Week from the 9th to 15th May. But I don't know how international this has really become! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astronomy_Day A few years ago, Chile tried to introduce an astronomy day - after much initial promise, it seems to have died a quiet death. Sad but typical, I'm afraid! The International Dark Sky Week 2016, organised by the IDA, will be April 4 to 10. http://darksky.org/dark-sky-week-2016/
