Hello,

Here is my drawing of Jupiter done in much better than average conditions for my usual skies.......

56e6eda150339_Jupiter13thMarch2013.jpg.0

Observing details are :-

Sunday 13th March 2016, 20:30UT, seeing AII, temp = 3'C.

Takahashi FS128 with binoviewers at x156.

The NEB showed irregularity and the arcing festoon off it's southern edge was really large.

The SEB appeared to be split down the middle and a small white oval could be seen, a dark band ran along the southern edge.

The STB showed irregularity.

I like your sketch David. I was observing at the same time but the seeing was poor from my site and I couldn't make out much detail at all, other than the main belts, but no subtle detail such as the festoons you saw.
