andrew63
A very windy night, but managed some time with light weight tripod setup. A few brighter galaxies with the ST80 for the first time, in transparent skies. M65 and 66 in Leo, much tougher in the St80 and M64 Black Eye easier, but you notice the drop in aperture of 1 inch. Then on to star clusters which are simply a delight. With low power binocular scale views, the likes of M36 and M38 in Auriga nicely framed in the eyepiece play to it's strengths. To windy for much else ! andrew
Piero
Nice report and nice challenge to spot those galaxies with a smaller aperture, isn't it? Hopefully a clear sky for this weekend!
laudropb
Very nice report. Clusters in small aperture scopes are simply amazing.
