neil groves
I have mainly been playing with astrophotography but last night due to a health issue I decided to go out and do 30 min observing since the skies were clear and I wanted to take a look at Jupiter, before turning my attention to the planet however I framed up on M42 with my ED120 at 45X.....I nearly fell off my stool I never knew observing could be so engaging, the trapezium scintillated in the eyepiece and after a few mins I could clearly start to see the outline of the gases which almost filled the view, absolutely stunning and I am now going to spend more time just observing, I am thoroughly hooked.
