The sky was like skimmed milk, just a few bright galaxies and turn to the inevitable double stars.

certainly plenty colour there. NGC 2244 and NGC 2266 well placed in Monoceros and a good view of M47.

some lovely colour in Lepus with Hind's Crimson Star. Further scanning in Lepus produced the delicate h 3752 . Lal 1 produced a wide even split. 

β 321 at 05h39.3m   -17 51' shows a lovely view of four stars, there are more here for darker skies. Almost a mini cluster. For a brick red companion, enjoy γ Leporis, wide and stunning at x50. Very difficult viewing through the trees and over the heated town, but will be returning to Lepus.
