Help with coordinates

Hi guys total novice here i have been stargazing about a week and i have the az goto mount synscan .... the question im asking is how do i actually enter my coordinates?

this is my coordinates

 

Lat: 53° 13' 11.1174"
Long: -1° 8' 19.572"

 

im pretty sure there right and thats what i have but i have no idea how to enter the -1 ( minus 1 ) in my synscan handset if anyone could help i would be most greatfull 

 

also im sorry if this post has been covered before

The minus means that you are West, rather than East, so choose W when entering the longitude coordinates.

brilliant next time i set up my scope ill input coordinates exactly as that and see how i go ... thankyou
