Stellarium scope / eqmod - tips needed.

Trying to set up EQ-G mount to slew via Stellarium.

Maybe something simple I overlooked, but thought id see if any tips.   

Downloaded all (ASCOM-EQMOD-Stellscope-Stellarium) today on windows 7 spare laptop. 

Stell-scope seems to be communicating with Stellarium, telescope config window shows "scope" "sync" "cancel" all coneected. 

Eqmod is present in stell-scope drop down menu. 

Laptop port shows EQ-G mount is connected. 

Just can't seem to get stell-scope to connect mount.  Tried 3 different ports while entering matching port info in stell-scope properties menu. 

Does mount hand controller need to be set to something?

My set-up is almost the same as yours a NEQ6 with a EQDirect lead from the PC to the Mount, the software is the same, is a EQ-G mount a Skywatcher...??

Is the hand controller still physically connected? EQMOD is intended to be used with a direct connection between the PC and mount via an EQDirect cable. If you don't have an EQDIrect cable then it is possible to connect via the handcontroller so long as you put it in PC-Direct mode first.

Initially I would forget stellariumscope and stellarium and follow the steps outlined in the EQMOD quick start guide and use the EQMOD toolbox application to verify that the EQMOD/Mount connection is being established. Once you know that i s working fine you can introduce stellariumscope and stellarium.

I have the Atlas EQ-G, switching hand controller to PC direct mode did the trick, thank you.

Yes switching to PC direct did the trick, thank you for solution its working great.
