A quick Comet Catalina

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Popped out and saw Comet C/2013 US10 Catalina this morning. It's around mag. 6 and rather indistinct in my binoculars, although my hasty stacked images show it's developed a nice tail.

It's out of view of my obs, so I couldn't do any long exposures, but here'e the result of some quick 12 second unguided images with the standard camera lens. Obviously, the bright 'star' is Venus. Mars is top right.
