Not exactly Pete Lawrence standard!

Here are my first partly successful shots. By that I mean You can actually see the prominence. Usually all I get is a blurred red disc. So things are moving on!

All taken Afocal with 4(ish) year old Fuji finepix s5500 through a PST with TAL 40mm plossl.

Keep plugging away, you are getting there. The prominences are there to see OK. Perhaps some help from one of the solar scope experts will come your way.

If you look carefully. above the main prom there is a much fainter loop. I could only just see that visually so I'm surprised (and happy) its on the image.

The first image was posted by mistake by the way, It was one of the shorter exposures to try for surface detail (didn't work this time!).
