Milky Way LMC and SMC from Kaikoura NZ

Two images from my trip in September to Kaikoura NZ.

These were taken at Seal Point where the biggest hazard was tripping over seal pups, they have no respect for astonomy or the equipment we use!!!!!

These were taken on a fixed mount 10 x 20 sec subs no darks, flats etc using a canon 650D (mod'd)

Nice shots. Maybe saturation could be turned down a notch for a slightly more natural look
