Bright Taurid - indoors!

Forced to get up around 3.00am because of indigestion (my homemade Thai curry!) I saw a very bright meteor dropping low in the south  - through my living room window! Sirius was in the same 'field of view' and was easily outshone.  A  first indoor observation of a meteor. It's an ill wind.........!

Up early myself (4am ) and for a change found clear skies. I thought I would have a look at the planetary conjunction, so after a strong coffee I went out with the bins.. Saw 5 Taurids, one of them very bright.
