Lunar eclipse with 130pds dslr settings

Going to be taking my 130pds out tonight to image the lunar eclipse. It's only the scopes 2nd light and my first time imaging through a scope ever so am quite excited about it. Can anyone advise me on what settings to use on my camera? Cheers.

Use a range of exposure settings, spot meter on the brightest part and go a couple stops either side. One thing - get the focus right! You cannot correct that after the fact if it's wrong.

As a ball park i would say ISO about 200-400 before the moon goes dark i would be looking at speed of 1/640 but as it darkens you may need to go slower like 1/250 or so

Before the shadow hits, you will need very short exposures, it's effectively in full sunlight so ASA100, and say 1/100 second as a starting point.

It will get a lot darker so you will have to be ready to tweak ISO and extend the exposure time.

Use the fastest shutter speed you can get away with to minimise camera shake - use mirror lock-up if you have it.

While it's bright ISO 100-200,  and up to ISO800 when it get darkest.

Use the histogram to check you're not overloading the whites, and eyeball on the rear screen after you've taken each one.

The moon's out there now, so take and check a range of exposures now before the fun starts!

how did you get on mate? it was spectacular to watch

i ended up using ISO200 @ 1/400 at the start and got all the way down to ISO800 @ 5 seconds at totality had a great night and lovely clear skies, dew was terrible tho and i forgot my dew strap
