Use the fastest shutter speed you can get away with to minimise camera shake - use mirror lock-up if you have it.

While it's bright ISO 100-200,  and up to ISO800 when it get darkest.

Use the histogram to check you're not overloading the whites, and eyeball on the rear screen after you've taken each one.

The moon's out there now, so take and check a range of exposures now before the fun starts!
