A Grand Day Out - The Shape Shifting Prom and some surface stuff in Cak and H-A

Had a blast today...hours outside watching this amazing, yet faint prom change constantly. Plus a flare on the surface from the small active region, and it happening in CaK and H-A.

Combination of PST CaK at F10 to F40, PST80 at F5 to F25, and the Televue NP127 with the SF70 at F5 ish to F25

Had a real heap of fun with this, and still have around 12GB of data left to process, including some large full disc shots (proms and surface full disc in Cak and H-A) and more proms which were just all over the place

Individual shots available at higher resolution if anyone wants em. All the prom shots have surface matching shots, just still processing em..

Excellent montage of shots their Nick. I for one are very keen to see the individual pictures, see what everyone else thinks.

Keep posting, your work is a pleasure to see.

Thank you...

Final one for today is the big poster. This coordinated effort was set up by none other than Pete Lawrence (aka Starman) via the Cloudy Nights Solar forum..there are some very impressive images coming through, from what was in fact a relatively dull day for solar activity, other than this one prom, which just moved and morphed constantly

Anyway, here's the poster, at about 16% actual size
