This is my first attempt at webcam imaging. All a bit rushed as I was pooped and wanted to get to bed!

It was still twilight and the viewing was poor. (Very wobbly image in the EP.)

The laptop batteries were failing rapidly all adding to my panic to get something down.

This is the first time I’ve managed to reach focus with a webcam on the TAL (after fitting a new focuser) v happy about that.

The image was tiny. I have increased by 400% (Should be getting the Shorty-Plus X2 this week)

There was about 3 minutes of AVI which I processed in Registax (a bit of a minefield.) I just checked the auto box and let the software do its stuff. Looking forward to getting to grips with this.

All things considered I’m quite happy with the results.

Nice shot.

I think the 400x enlargement has reduced the quality a little.

Do not always be tempted to enlarge, a well captured small image is just as good.

How many frames did you capture?

Lovely first shot. Nicely focused. Just a matter of upping the image scale now.

I captured 1891 frames.
