Quick and dirty M31

Quick and dirty M31 from tonight, 30*3min exposures at ISO 1600 (Canon 500D, EQ5 Pro, SW 130 PDS, Orion Magnificent Mini autoguider)

Have never tried M31 before, it's huuuuge!! 

Did some brutal binning in StarTools to keep noise down. Managed to saturate the inner core which was kind of unexpected. Will learn my lesson until next time...

Think it looks a bit "flat", also I don't get that comfy yellowish centre I see in others images. Any clues?

Your core is perfectly fine, it's actually very hard to get a nice image of M31 if the core isnt burnt out. The core get more yellow if you adjust the color to be more blue in the galaxy edge, yours is a little purplish.

This image has lots of details you can get out with more processing.

Rotated a little and with correct colors this would be a great image

Ole: yes, Will try to make it less purple. Or perhaps add more data? The colors always seems easier to control with more data somehow..
