Is the Bresser Skylux (lidl scope) any good as a guide scope?

Don't see why not it has 1.25 inch focuser and the optics are reasonable. I had one quick view of the Moon through one and there was very little chromatic abberation. Here is a link to a website where the guy has imaged with it. http://www.astroman.fsnet.co.uk/skylux.htm

Certainly a very cheap option. Tube rings for it may be an issue as I remember the tube diameter being an odd size.

Well I bagged a bargain on ebay and got the Skylux for £9.18 (I have a £7.50 discount voucher for ebay and £4.50 in my paypal account) so I am very pleased.

Fingers crossed that it is suitable as a guidescope.

I will post a proper report when I am all set up.

Cheers for the helps guys.
