Perseids on holiday

Good night last night on holiday at Robin Hoods Bay. Several meteors seen. Had scope out and drew small crowd of young ones. First we compared meteor counts! Then lesson with laser pointer around some main constellations and stars. Then showed the Mizar/Alcor system which seemed to get a wow that one star is two in the scope. I carried on clocking a few more meteors and enjoying Alberio. I always find it satisfying to sow some seeds in younger minds.
