To remove vdb or lhd from stellarium on a mac. Open finder and the open applications. right click on stellarium and choose open package contents. open data and open resources. Open nebulae and look for the vdb file etc right click and rename. Just add an x or something and its gone. if you ever need it just rename and remove the x.  BINGO

It's no required already for the series 0.14 and 0.15...
