Nexstar SE8 OTA Help?

Gosh I feel silly not being able to figure this out.

SE8 arrived and I have been putting it together. There is NO info in the manual as to how to attach the OTA to the mount. Surely it doesn't just slide on...?

I've been digging around online but can't find anything that tells me how to do this.

Can anyone help?

it slides on and you tighten the nobbly bolt thing that it slides onto on the mount..try swivelling the mount head up and down incase you cant see it..no question is silly so don't worry about it

That's it? I figured it needed screws or something. Oh my goodness, it's not as hard as I'm making it then. Lol Thank you so much!

three quarters of the way up the arm you see a wee black nob..thats what you tighten it with..make sure its properly in tho or its an expensive mistake to make lol

ah now a little nob is the key to true happiness....

Its a little tricky. But you can do it by feel alone. You will know just by feel if its fitting right and then just tighten the knobs. Do it a few times in daylight, so when in dark you get the feeling.

I leave mine attached to the mount and all i have to do then is attach the OTA and mount onto the tripod.

My 6SE came already attached to the mount and I've never taken it off. I do the same as Luke, just attach everything to the tripod.
