Greetings Freakshow and welcome to the forum! If you like gadgets - there are plenty to be had to assist in pursuit of this hobby and it seems that few of them are inexpensive. The key - I think - is to make purchases that will "grow" your kit a little at a time but still work with the gear you currently own. For example, a more capable mount would not be a problem if you plan to upgrade to a larger scope at some point in the future but conversely, a new scope's that's too large (heavy) for your current mount would also require the purchase of a new mount in order to use it effectively. I think this applies to much of the "gadgetry" in this hobby and it would seem to be a key consideration when planning to upgrade a little at a time as opposed to just going out and buying the most you would ever want or need from the onset.

Anyway - good luck with your new scope and clear skies!
