I've only had mine (B/W Firewire version) a couple of months and I'm no expert but they are solidly built, the software is powerfull yet easy to use and it can deliver decent frames rates.

I use the DMK have a look through the Lunar and Planetary imaging sections.

I've only had it out 2 or 3 times so I'm still very much still learning....

Nice images Gaz So would you recommend it Gaz for the extra £150 outlay over the Toucam? I'm very tempted for later this year, early next.

I believe NickH's solar PoTW images were taken with a mono DMK

I don't know Russ, being able to capture uncompressed at 15 or 30 FPS (can't really use the 60FPS at decent f-ratios as the exposure time becomes higher than the frame rate and effectively becomes the frame rate) really helps capture the good seeing, it is only the same chip as the Toucam (I think) although it seems to perform a lot better better with the gain high than the Toucam (80-90% gain is perfectly fine). I got mine with a bonus from work that I wasn't expecting so the cost vs a Toucam wasn't an issue if you know what I mean? But I certainly don't regret the purchase.
