TBH, I think the ad is a bit hyped up.

it is a re-badged synta, which is no bad thing but it's not quite as good as the ad makes out.

the SF range are Chinese made Synta models where as the S range are Japanese made and have the edge.

all the same it's a good scope.

And it's listed on Vixen's website as "no longer manufactured", but when they supplied it, it came with a flip mirror, which seemsto be missing from the one on AB&S. Probably cheaper to buy a Skywatcher, paint it white and write Vixen on it - Hugh

TBH if you could knock £50 of the price that's probably a good buy considering it's got the fitted alu case included. While a Skywatcher ED100 is just as good and might be a little cheaper to buy - they don't come up very often
