Hello,

i am using diagnol mi 918, is it a an erecting prism that i need to show the view/orientation the right way round as if looking through binoculars?

Any and all recommends on equipment is appreciated.

If it's a mirror diagonal or a plain prism it should show a view that is the right way up but lef and right are reversed.

You can get ones that duplicate the view our eyes and binoculars show but they contain additional prisms which add light scatter and sometimes other abberrations so are not generally popular with astronomers.

I now only use my WO Amici prism during the day for terrestrial use. I find the quality more than acceptable for ship spotting in the ST80. I don't bother with it at night.

(I'm glad I have it though as it helps when passing folk also want to have a look at a tall ship and usually generates a pleasant conversation.). :)
