Omega Centauri

Once in a while you can see this naked eye from my garden.

I love the way it scintillates in the eye[iece when you're observing.

Imaging wise it is quite difficult to get a balance between number of stars and colour as the colour washes out of the stars before you get all the peripheral stars.

It's a beautiful target though and if you ever get a chance to image it from up North, it's worth the effort.

This is one I took a while back and I'm looking forward to updating it when I can. It's only a few frames and it was done with my kit on a wedge so not as stable a table as might be optimum.

So lucky, had the fortune to visit relatives in oz, and took a barn door tracker and camera, for wide angle shots, and remember seeing omega centauri naked eye. Great image........well done!

Looks nice, too far south for me this one! I think there may be a hint of green though, HLVG in PS or SCNR in PI will take care of that.
