Loose Mirror?

Recommended Posts

I moved the scope earlier this evening, and I noticed a small knocking from the mirror cell. I am making the assumption (without too much closer inspection) that it is simply loose, though I can't imagine how (but it might explain the collimation difficulty I had the other night :? )

Question is, do I need to worry about anything other than just re-tightening the bolt?

I had a similar problem a few years ago and tightend every thing up. But I ended up putting too much pressure on the primary which caused all sorts of image problems, I later found out it was called pinched optics. Just thought I could help!
