First Saturn of the season

The seeing was not good but as I was already setup and focused after imaging the moon I thought it would be rude not to point the scope at Saturn.

High thin cloud meant I had to push the gain a lot higher than I would have liked, but I was pleased to even see the cassini division (blurred as it is) in the final result, as I did not see it in the raw AVi( which is never a good sign)

EP projection with a 10mm EP and toucam through my 10" newt.

best 1034 from 5456.

Nice to see other people having fun last night! That's a long capture, more than 5k frames. Have you tried the "Colour RAW" mod?

No I haven't ,the toucam is usualy used as a guide cam so I haven't even looked into it.

That's a very respectable result under those conditions Mike.

When I win one of those DMK cameras, on offer in the AN mag competition, I'll give Saturn a try myself

Sorry Mike, don't quite know How I missed this one. That's a really nice capture with good colour and a fair bit of detail. Looks like I might have to try my hand at this EP projection malarky .

I tried a 6mm and a 10mm. There was nothing wrong with the image, just not big enough.
