Luna focus?

Managed to grab 1 1000 frame AVI last night

Patchy cloud all night long so I gave up after.

Im thinking the focus is iffy and the processing not up to par, but Focus been the main issue?

Any thoughts?

I think focus is slightly off but it's a very good attempt.

I would say grab more frames. 3000+. This should smooth the image out.

Focus is the most difficult bit.

It makes it easier if you can find a bit of the Moon that has some well defined features on it so that you can get the focus sorted on them.  It can be tricky around full Moon but there is usually a bit of terminator visible that will help you.

Tricky focusing via a PC screen, not lease because the resolution normally isn't that great, and dimmed down in the dark doesn't help. Maybe take a few AVI's and refocus for each. Even if they look the same, when you process them they will probably differ a little
