Anyone using a Pi with PHD?

Hi everyone. First off - Happy New Year.

And the question is -

Has anyone successfully used a Raspberry Pi either with its own camera or an external camera.

If so, have you got it to work with PHD?

I understand that the problem with external cameras is the drivers. Comments would be appreciated. Better still, links.

cheers

There are various options for this - I am working to get some of them working so can't give an experienced answer but there are:

1, use 'motion' freeware to manage up to 4 usb cameras including detecting motion and broadcasting via web server

2, use v4l similarly to display webcam video captured live from attached standard webcams.

3, Use Indi server to link to SX or QHY cameras on Linux using the vendor provided drivers.

4, Use ZWO native drivers to read ASI 120 mm camera.

Googling any of these approaches will find canned command sequences to get them working.

regards

Mike
