Canon EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM

Dear all,

Maybe someone here can help me with this.

I am thinking about buying a Canon EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM lens but it will have to be used with a light pollution filter. I currently have an astronomik CLS clip in filter. Can this lens be used with this filter? If not, what other options are there available considering that I will have to use some sort of LP blocking with this lens?

I think you will be fine using that lens with a clip in filter as it's an EF mount, it's the EF-S ones you can't use the clip filters with as the lens sits further in the camera body.

Thank you for your answers. I have a nifty-fifty which can't be used with the CLS filter and I was fearing I could have the same problem with the 200mm lens.

Thats strange as the Canon 50mm is also an EF mount.
