Orion90
Hi there,I've just begun using a telescope in the last few days so I'm very new. Decided to have a go with Jupiter tonight having had fun looking at the moon and the pleiadies the last two nights.I used 25mm & 10mm eyepieces but whilst I sighted the moons the planet itself was blurry. Is there any advice you would give on how I might correct this? I'm using a skywatcher 130?Mark
Moonshane
Hi MarkBasically, wait I am at a similar latitude in Manchester and it's really quite low stillif you are still observing in 2-3 hours then it will present a much sharper view.even 10mm with your scope is I think 65x? more magnification to perhaps 100x or more will help too. you should see the main bands though at 65x. I just did at 45x (a test I set myself - yes, I am sad).
paul mc c
It could have been that the air wasnt steady,ie the seeing wasnt good,if your views of the moon were ok, collomation probably isnt the case.
