my celestron nexstar mount died

Dear telescope people:

My Celestron NexStar SE 4 mount hsa died.

More specifically, when I use the slewing controls, the scope does not budge its orientation

in angle, but just sits there.

alas! I just got the scope a few months ago, and its already broken down...

If its only a few months old, contact your supplier and see what they say.

Contacting the supplier is a good idea. I would also check and double check all the leads and the battery

I think the 4se has clutches , can you hear the motors ? Google 4se clutch slipping ...
