I popped out the other night to test out a friend's 22x85 Helios Apollo bins. The Moon washed everything out, but I saw Jupiter, M42 and Sirius for the first time this winter. Not a waste at all.

I was out with the  15x70 Apollos on friday, looking particularly at carbon stars,Albireo,Not a night for DSO's!  PLEASE,PLEASE give us a review of those 22x85's in the Bins forum!  What do they weigh? How were they mounted? and obviously what were the views like?

Sure I'll do a review of the 22x85s, though I'll leave it until we've had a chance to do another session when the moon is out of the way and I've got my 15x70s alongside to compare them against. First impressions are they're good. And big. And heavy.
