I used to have the ED 100 20mm. It was a great eyepiece. I've not noticed a lot of difference in changing to the Ethos 21mm really.

I seem to recall my ES 20 / 100 cost around £200 but that was used.

The Ethos 21mm is currently $830USD while the ES is under $250. I have a 13mm Ethos and a 4.7 SX ETHOS. No doubt they are amazing, but not enough to justify that expense. This comes from a guy who's made a sort of lifestyle choice in going overboard.

I bought my Ethos 21 used and got a great buy so I was comfortable to add it to the 13mm, 8mm and 6mm Ethos that I already have. Had I not got such a deal I'd probably not have paid out for a new E21 though.

To be fair I've also used the William Optics XWA and Skywatcher Myriad 100 degree eyepieces and they were excellent too as well as being less expensive than the ES 100's in the UK.
