I'll probably buy a SW autocusser early in the New Year. I'll fit one to the ST80 first and make sure it works. Then I'll buy a usb breakout board with gpio outputs. That should let me connect to the laptop. I'll then have to write a simple prog to control it. If all goes well I'll post about it

Oh well, I ordered the auto-focuser and usb pcb today though probably won't get them until after Christmas. Still, I'm getting quite excited! They will be the nearest things to a Christmas present I'll get. Sigh.

Still waiting for a couple of clear nights before December is over, the score so far is December 1- Me 1, only one image so far.
