A season of mixed emotions this. Increasingly difficult to find opportunities to image el sol at the moment which is quite frustrating but then on the flip side you get sparkling night time skies like last night. Still made the most of this weeks opportunity

Quite staggering luck actually this morning. Slept in after only heading to bed at 5 but managed to get up just in time for a gap to arrive as I was working through my first brew of the day. Clouded up after I grabbed the white light but cleared again about an hour later for the H alpha session. I actually took a bunch of H alpha avi's but most were marred by gusty wind shaking the scope uncontrollably. I will have a look at some of them again tomorrow and see if I can get anything else out of them.

Great results. Really looking forward to hopefully a few nice and early DSO sessions this winter! I just don't seem to have the stamina when doing solar too to do many late nights, though I did sneak a look at the Orion Nebula last week on hols :laugh:
