SkyWatcher Skymax-127-supatrak worth getting ?

Hey guys just come across the Celestron Astromaster 130eq with a motor drive for tracking and it is only £155 ??

Is this a good scope ??

It's basically the same as any of the 130P scopes as far as I'm aware, and will suffer from exactly the same issues relating to focal length that have already been highlighted.  Just like the Supatrak, it won't do GOTO either, so if you think you'd be happy with the 130EQ from that point of view then you'd be happy with the Supertrak.

The Astromasters use a lot of plastic in their build as I recall. Their red dot type finders are legendarily poor. The Astromaster EQ mount is about the same as the Skywatcher EQ2 so not really up to much in terms of carrying capacity.

Oh, I think the 130EQ has a particularly poor finder from the comments I've read.  I've never used one though, so I can't comment from experience.

Ok thanks for the comments I was exited because It was over £100 less than the others and would allow me to spend more on add ons such as optics etc

You will get more for your money if you buy second hand or get lucky on an as new reduced price such as on Astroboot or other sites.
