Does AstroArt 5 do Polar Alignment and if so how please?

The title says it really :D  I have been using AstroTortilla for PA which relies on it's plate solving, which is rather slow.  I gather AA5 does plate solving much faster but can't find any reference to using it for polar alignment.

With several dozen views and no replies I assume nobody knows the answer which in turn leads me to assume that AA5 doesn't do PA as I suspected.  Oh well, stay with AT then :D

Gina,

It will definitely plate solve as good as AT.

Re PA - what about using the measured Dec drift method??

Thank you :)  But excuse my ignorance, what is the measured Dec drift method?

On Page 14 of the users guide, you'll see an example....

Basically the x-y guide errors are written to a text file and will show the drift over time.

This can be used to determine your PA by applying it to a star in the East then one close to the meridian (a la the standard drift method)
