-8 mag iridium flare at 05:58, passing through Orion

if you are in the Biggleswade area there is a -8 mag iridium flare at 05:58, passing through Orion when it flares should make good viewing and a nice image.

Looks interesting. I haven't seen an iridium flare for a while. One through Orion would be pretty cool.

Pretty close to me but unless that Iridium satellite crashed into the house I will be so wrapped up in a thick warm duvet that there is less then no chance of me getting up to see it.

I think there is one Wednesday evening about 8:29PM, it is -7 so I'll wait for that one, if it is clear.

cleared for long enough to see it through patchy cloud, so not a total waste of time!

The 20:29 was wasn't as good as it could have been, seemed to be just enough cloud to dampen it.

Was visible but could I suspect have been much better.

The first one i ever saw was a mag -8. Then i saw another less bright one about 30 seconds later running paralell.
