andyin2014
last Christmas I got a Rokinon 1000 mm and have had good experience with it, seeing the moons of Jupiter, ring around Saturn etc. Anyone else have a Rokinon? I am trying to find out what eyepieces and filters I should get. I want to see sun spots and hopefully flares
happy-kat
Is this your telescope?http://www.rokinon.com/product.php?id=121You might get more replies if you start a separate new thread as I think reading that add if that is your telescope you might get lots of info to help as it looks like it is not 1.25 eye piece format. Digger1895
Why does the OTA of the scope in the link say Skywatcher on the side???
happy-kat
Yes it is odd that it says sky watcher on the side on that image.Searching on google is not hugely fruitfull. If the link above is the right telescope then the eyepeice size is not 1.25.But I would not personally buy eyepeices in the small size for the scope but I would look at a convertor to take it from the size on your scope to 1.25 so any new eyepeice you bought could be used on future telscopes. Please can we have more information on your telescope. Can you confirm whether the tube is actually 1000mm long or is shorter please? With a ruller what is the width of the hole where the eyepeice goes?To look at the sun you will need to get the right euipment for your telescope. The sun is very dangerous.I have no knowledge on what you need to look at the sun safely.
