I spent two glorious weeks with my Daughter and her family, over Christmas 2011 in Rye

close to the beach, and I remember seeing  Orion, upside down, for the first time!

The jokes about walking about upside down in Australia are known so well but it

simply did not register with me until that moment, a moment I will not forget.

An OS 152mm that is one hell of a scope.

One of the last I believe... Gino & Giovanni from OS seem to concentrate more on the RC's and Veloce astrographs... The APO is the best refractor I ever got my hands on. Carbonfiber tube, Internal fans, Feathertouch focuser...

Hi & thanks for the friendly welcome... you are right the Mornington Peninsula is a very nice place. However, light pollution is quite significant on the Bayside...the Ocean beach side towards Philip Island is less 

populated and has the better skies. And...I you're lucky you can see a nice Aurora from there too.... Cheers Clem
