M13 - First attempt

Really like this, you have done a great job for an Dob.

I think your processing is bang on!

I like your colours, you could even up the vibrance / saturation abit.

Orange stars, should be Orange!

Some tips, for your next target:

Imaging near polaris, means less movement :)

Using Cappa Sigma stacking, makes use of the differences in the images due to movement, to separate signal from noise.

The more subs the better, with short subs, it becomes all about integration time.

To illustrate this point, (although not done with a dob)

Keep em coming, I am interested to see where you go next?

Thank you so much. I will try the stacking again by using the kappa sigma and i will push more on saturation / vibrance :)

Also the tutorial that you posted it is very interesting !!!

Next target mmmmm peraphs ngc6888 :)

very nice !  I agree, pump up the saturation a bit more - there are lots of red supergiants there just waiting to pop out

In the beginning i thought that i was exaggerating with saturation but as far as i can see all of you suggested to do that :)

I will try to process it again keeping in mind all the suggestion that i got from all of you :)

Looks great, did you use any special processing software?

I used just photoshop.

The usual, levels, curves, expsoure, saturation and as filter i used Hasta La Vista Green and a bit of sharpen.

I got the subs with ISO400 with LPS filter as well.

Lovely job. I don't find globs very easy to image. You've got some star colour peeking through there. I agree, don't cut back on the black too much, and do try and avoid over-sharpening the stars. It's a common urge! Processing's a dark art but you've done a good job there!
