What eye piece are you using to view Saturn, if the sky is good you can use a very 'short' EP, such as <10mm, or if you have a barlow try that as well. You should get a nice view of Saturn through that scope........................ :D

Cheers,

Gary,

BTW I like the Vespa, what model is it, is it yours? (way back the last Vespa I had was one of the 1st T5's)

hi gary i can see saturn with the 10mm and the2x barlow but very small i can see the moons but know detail on rings my area is very light polluted. its a px 125 with a polini 180 kit on.yes its mine.

Don't be too hard on your scope - detail on Saturn's disk and rings is very subtle and things are not made easier by the way the rings are tilted at the moment. The cassini division in the rings and cloud belts on the planets disk are tough challenges for my 8 inch scope from my back garden at the moment and I've been at this for many years - you need to keep studying objects in astronomy to see these subtle details - they certainly don't leap straight out at you !.

The saying "the more you look, the more you will see" is very true :D

John
