Could be an interesting possibility for a low cost on-mount distroastro controller solution. linux iso is available but probably have to compile distroastro apps from source.

Sounds like it has more grunt than my intel atom so who knows...

Looks like a Raspberry Pi on steroids, though a bit more expensive.

There are lots and lots of similar boards - though most are cheaper (€58 + tax ... roughly £55-60) than this one.

Have a look at the Olimex range [ www.olimex.com ]. Their products are open-source hardware, too. Though in practice that makes no difference as no individual would have the means to produce one of these.
