Gina
Very interesting However, I've looked into modifying/using stepper motors salvaged out of duff equipment but came to the conclusion that it would be a lot more work and could even be more expensive than building from new. With suitable stepper motors and driver chips/modules available online for a couple of pounds, I decided salvaging was just not worth the trouble. Goes against the grain really as I'm into recycling big-time.
