some Mars & Saturn images from the 31st / 1st May / June

finally got around to processing these through PIPP & Registax
will tidy them up in PS later when I get a chance

First up Saturn
pretty pleased with these as I'm starting to get surface detail and some better ring definition than I previously have

not my best but decent considering viewing was not as good as I've had

The Saturns in particular look nice. Have you sharpened them as much as they'll go without introducing noise?

think I've took them as far as I can
if I pushed the wavelets further I was getting the "cracking" effect in registax
will see if I can squeeze a bit more out in PS

Looking good, don't know if it's possible to do better now, I tried a couple of nights ago and couldn't improve on earlier versions, been tracking Jupiter in daylight until 21.00 today, may try imaging shadows tomorrow if it's clear.

I've been looking at Jupiter in daytime as well when I get a break in the clouds
but pretty much given up on imaging when its dark as its behind my neighbors house now around 10pm
and Saturn is getting very low up here in Scotland and most of the night its tracking through a lot of sodium lights on my horizon at about 10 Deg

both looking pretty good. that "cracking" is a tell tale sign of pushing the data too far, you have done the right thing holding back a little.
