Ideal star party

This looks like my kind of star party. Lots of space. Plenty of huge scopes to have a look through. Dry ground. Excellent skies. Then I got to about 10:34 in to the clip and wasn't quite so sure. Yes I am a big wuss.

Liked the Obs tent at 9:30-9:50.

Those spiders are why they need more light pollution , otherwise at night you wouldn't see them waiting to pounce on you. :evil6:

That star party looked perfect....Until 10:34.  That was quite big.

Still quite like to go though.  Skies look like it would be an amazing experience.

One of my customers (I'm a free-lance computer tech...I go to homes) has one of those as a pet. It crawls all over him and both seem happy with the relationship.

He asked me if I'd like to hold it...he named it Fred. I thought about it and then something occurred to me.

#1. "Fred" would go straight for my throat, rip out a large vein...I'd die a slow painful death.

#2. Everybody would stand around my body and say "Wow!..that's really strange...nothing like that has every happen before".

I wouldn't worry about tarantulas, but hot nights where rattlers and scorpions roam.

Edit: It's kind of like....." when you step into the ocean, your part of the food chain " ; you have to know your environment.
