Venus in IR - May 26th

I've not posted much recently, and today was only the second time I've had a useable sky this month! So I managed to grab a few AVI's of Venus between the clouds. Seeing was rather jumpy to say the least. I tried for Mercury and Jupiter too, but thickening clouds ended the session. I did spot the thin crescent Moon early on, and used that to focus on.

Any success with Mercury ?

Have you guys been imaging in the day time or are you waiting to the evening ? I have managed an awful Mercury with my dslr in the daytime but I need Venus to get things all started focused etc and then try and get Mercury. It's a real test of patience finding them on a CCD though .

I got Mercury last year with an SPC900, at 3pm on a June afternoon, but haven't got it yet with the ASI120MM.

nice image, Venus is not the easiest of targets, i tried Mercury on Sunday night it was ok visual but a waste of time imaging wise!

This is the best Mercury I've got so far, using the SPC900.
