Now whats up with DSS?

Haven't been out imaging in almost a month. Good skies last night and got some nice images of M92, M5 and M57. Only problem is when I load them into DSS and stack them the final image doesn't appear on the screen like it should. It is just a grey box. Also it won't let me click on any of the sliders at the bottom. It does this with all the raw files from last night. I didn't get any darks or flats. (Battery died before I remembered to) But I have stacked just light images before and haven't had an issue.

Any suggestions?

have you tried saving the file to disk and opening in another package to see whats there

Yep. Tried it and get a message that there is no image to save.

Have you got he latest version 3.3.4? I had problems with the earlier version.

Yes v. 3.3.4

I don't know what the issue was but I went into settings and reset all to default. Also made a new temp file folder and after trying for like the 8th time, finally got it to work. Don't know exactly what the deal was. Aren't computers great?

well done. its all a learning curve, even if you don't know what your learning......

A very steep learning curve. Just starting in astronomy and then jump right into imaging. Must be like climbing Everest.
